The Luck o' the Irish
For St. Patty's Day breakfast Brin and I made lovely green shamrock pancakes with chocolate chips. They were quite delicious and a beautiful shade of green.
Then for dinner I made shepherd's pie (which is probably Irish in origin or at least I'm going to pretend it is), green kool-aid and mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. Then Brin, Dustin, Jared and I watched Darby O'Gill and the Little People while we snacked on green Cadbury Eggs and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in green wrappers. If you've never seen Darby O'Gill I don't know if I'd recommend watching it. Jared wasn't a huge fan. It's one of those movies that one has to grow up seeing to really appreciate. So Brin and Dustin and I enjoyed the movie and Jared mostly slept. All in all it was a fun filled day of leprechauns and rainbows. Here is an Irish blessing for everyone. Enjoy.May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
