This past weekend was a busy one for us. On Friday we went up to Centerville for Jare’s mission reunion. He had such a blast. Of course he was thrilled to see everyone from the mission field but he also really loves going to Centerville. He lived there until he was 11 and he still thinks of it as home. And I was so happy to finally meet President and Sister Marshall. I’ve heard so much about them. And they really are wonderful people.
After the reunion at about nine we headed down to St. George. And because we left so late by the time we got to Grandpa and Grandma Gray’s it was just after two a.m. We were both exhausted so we pretty much just fell into bed. And then we were up the next morning to get to Snow Canyon in time to see Grandpa as he ran through. This is his 21st year running the St. George Marathon. We had been watching the news to see what the weather would be like and the forecast said Saturday morning would be overcast but still warm. And supposedly it wasn't going to rain until later in the afternoon. Notice I said supposedly. The weatherman was grossly mistaken and the rain in fact came early that morning and lasted until early afternoon. So the family stood in the cold rain to cheer Grandpa on.
Then in keeping with tradition we went to Paula’s for some yummy Mexican food.
We ended our fun-filled day by celebrating our nephew Bryson’s first birthday.
And finally on Sunday we spent a very relaxing day with Grandpa and Grandma Gray thoroughly enjoying our wonderful Prophet and Apostles. WE LOVE CONFERENCE!!!
So it was a wonderfully long weekend spent with our family and we had a blast. But boy are we glad to be home!
