Dear Grandpa,

The Holiday Season has come and gone and not a day has passed when I don't think about you and wish you were still here. The Christmas party wasn't quite the same without you there. You would've loved Eric's white elephant gift. It was classic. And as is typical of a Walters Family Christmas Party it was loud, raucous and basically inappropriate. And we all laughed until we couldn't breathe. Saryn was thrown into it all head first and she handled it like a champ. I think she's going to make it in our crazy family.

Dustin's wedding was beautiful. But I don't have to tell you that. I know you were there. Watching them kneel over the alter made me think of the day Jared and I were sealed and I was so overwhelmed by how blessed we are to have each other. And not just in this life. But forever. I would never have been okay with letting you go if I thought it was the end. And I know Grandma feels the same way. Don't worry about her, Grandpa. We'll take good care of her until she's ready to meet you again.

Everything is going so well with the pregnancy and we are thankful for that every day. Little Jack is active just like you. He loves to kick me right in the ribs to wake me up in the morning. And I try my best to be stern when he does that but it always makes me smile. It reminds me of how you used to pump my arm every morning to "get my heart going" and I tried so hard to be mad at you but secretly I loved it.

I know you are where you're supposed to be but it doesn't make it any easier to be without you. I hope you're teaching Little Jack to mind his parents and be a good boy. Give him a kiss and a big Grandpa hug before you send him to us.

I love you so much Grandpa. And I know someday I'll see you again.
