Rollin' in Lehi

It's official. Jared and I are now residents of Lehi. Hooray!!! I thought this image was a great representation of our fair new city. I figure at some point when I'm really angry I can drive down to the Roller Mills and dance angrily in the warehouse. (See Footloose if you're unfamiliar with this reference.)

Monday was our moving day. And boy was it a long day!! We've been packing off and on for weeks now but we still had quite a bit left to get into boxes. We have a lot of crap. So we spent part of the morning packing and Jared picked up the Uhaul around eleven thirty. Almost eight hours later we finally had everything except the kitchen loaded. It was just the two of us because it was the middle of a Monday so there weren't a lot of extra hands to help us out.

By the time we got out to Lehi we were both beyond exhausted and very very sore. And because I'm an idiot I packed up all of my shoes except for a little pair of sandals. So after dropping huge boxes on my toes multiple times and accidentally kicking the metal dolly at least twenty times my feet were extremely puffy and bruised and I think my arches have fallen out which is never fun. Luckily my awesome cousins, Brennon and Covey and Jared's work buddy, Zeb, came to unload with us. So it only took us an hour and a half to get everything into the house.

We finally fell into bed (or I should say onto our mattress which is currently in the middle of our bedroom floor) around eleven and slept soundly the entire night.

Today we are both very sore and my feet are a little purple but we're so grateful that we're finally moved. Now I just have to unpack everything.

Thank you again to Brennon, Covey and Zeb. We definitely owe you one!!!!!

My heart is with the Meeks family at this difficult time. This life is so fragile and it can seem to end so abruptly. But always remember that what seems like the end to us is only the beginning of something much greater. This too shall pass.
